SLY F.I.T.

F- Fitness
I- Individualized
T- Training

The SLY way!

For this week only, I am opening up my services to anyone looking to improve their health and fitness. SLY F.I.T. consists of a 3 month exercise program (now until the end of December), tailored to each individual. The program will based on personal goals, fitness level, and time availability. The cost is $20, which includes a custom calendar, customized strength training programs (sent via e-mail), exercise packet, diet suggestions, and a t-shirt. In addition to the program, I recommend signing up for a 5K or a 10K race, and here's why...

For the past 3 years, my brother and I have ran the Freedom Run 15K on the 4th of July, which was always fun... and hard, and at one point, talked about doing more races. Yeah, that never happened. However, this past year, I was invited to participate as a runner in the Ragnar Relay Wasatch Back. Training started in February, and the race wasn't until June. That's four months of monotonous running, and it was easy to become unmotivated. That was until I had the opportunity to run a half marathon with my sisters in La Jolla, California in April. The race fell on a weekend when I was supposed to do a long run for the Wasatch Back, so all of a sudden, the focus became about the half marathon. Once that was over, I came home and realized I still had 6 weeks until the Wasatch Back. I decided to go online to find another race I could do in the span of those 6 weeks, and found a 10K and a 5K, and ran them both. I suddenly found myself hooked on racing. It gave me focus and something to train FOR. Yes, everyone wants to look good in a swim suit, but that still doesn't seem to get us off the couch sometimes. A race, first of all, costs money, and nobody wants to see money go to waste, even if it is $20. Second, you get a cool t-shirt. Everyone knows it's all about the t-shirt, right? Third, there's this rush of satisfaction after running a race that is indescribable. I'm not going to lie, racing hurts, but nothing is sweeter than the feeling of being "done". If you can set a personal record (PR), that's even better. From that point on, I have made it a goal to run a race per month, and have done so for the past 6 months, and am on track to keep doing so through January.

Along with running, strength training is equally important. Not only do you tone muscles, improve strength, but you will also reduce the risk for injury.

I have been currently working with a few co-workers, and some close friends for over a month now, and if you will click on the comments section, you will read one or more of their testimonial of the program thus far.

To be a part of the SLY F.I.T. program, e-mail me at sly_yts@hotmail.com. Please remember that this is a 3 month commitment. I also offer 0ne-on-one personal training, or group training for a price of $20 per hour, where I will take you through a custom workout routine.
